The National Psychosocial Safety Network is at the forefront of fostering cultures of respect, support, inclusion and belonging by building a community of psychosocial safety expertise that recognises organisations commitment to keeping their people safe.

The NPSN is purposed to work with private sector corporations, public agencies, businesses, schools, universities, health systems and providers and service organisations that are committed to best practice for their people.

Our approach is to connect organisations, leaders, peak bodies and professionals to evidence-based resources, support and solutions and offer organisations membership option that reflect and celebrate their achievements.

Under the leadership of ex Safe Work Chair Martyn Campbell and Coach Pty Ltd Founder Leanne Drew-McKain, the NPSN is a port in the storm for organisations and leaders in understanding and responding to rapidly unfolding psychosocial safety and psychological safety requirements.

Our Expert Advisory Group and industry leading delivery partners deliver an unparalleled depth of national and global expertise in helping organisations measurably increase psychosocial safety.

Many organisations are demonstrating a sincere commitment to not simply complying with the Code but to meaningful safe-culture leadership. The NPSN’s internationally outstanding Expert Advisory Group and recommended field-leading delivery partners—with the support of industry partners and Safe Work Australia guidance—provide expertise to organisations to support them to cyclically identify hazards, reduce risks and foster genuine prevention and culture change.

The set of evidence-based workforce analytics tools, metrics, strategic audit tools and programmatic safe-culture-change mechanisms, working in combination, equip organisations to measurably reduce patterns of risk and harm across the workforce. For example, component program providers report reductions of bullying extent from 60 per cent to 16 percent after program implementation.

Based in Melbourne, the Bully Zero Foundation works with children, teens and adults in workplaces, community organisations and schools throughout Australia to reduce and prevent bullying, cyberbullying and other forms of digital abuse. Through their range of programs and social media presence, Bully Zero brings their vision of a bullying-free society to hundreds of thousands of Australians every year.

In 2020, the Bully Zero Foundation partnered with Coach to create the Bully Zero Culture of Excellence initiative—a 36-month workplace bullying prevention program to visibly brand organisations for their commitment to a zero-tolerance culture.

The Bully Zero Culture of Excellence builds on organisations’ existing achievements—giving programmatic and tailored people-and-culture support to bring their zero-tolerance ambitions to life. Bully Zero recognises participating organisations for their commitment to fostering positive, high-performance communication cultures that comprehensively disallow bullying and behaviours that are harmful to staff wellbeing, productivity and performance.

The initiative is also a single-source step to ensuring organisations meet Safe Work Australia’s new national guidelines to very best-practice standards. Safe Work’s guidelines call on CEOs and HR/People & Culture leaders to use resources and processes to prevent, eliminate and minimise workplace bullying, harassment and aggression. In response, the Bully Zero Culture of Excellence is a comprehensive prevention resource and process step—and a way for organisations to demonstrate that they have and use appropriate resources and processes to eliminate or minimise risks.
